Stoughton Trailers Yard DriverStoughton Trailers is a trusted, industry-leading trailer manufacturer with strong Wisconsin roots and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence. Our yard operations play a critical role in keeping production moving and ensuring trailers are positioned safely and efficiently throughout our facilities.Position Details:Schedule: Monday-Thursday: 4:30pm-3:00am Shift: 2nd Overtime: Required as business needsWhat You'll Do:You will safely operate yard equipment to move trailers and units throughout the facility while maintaining accurate documentation and a strong focus on safety.Key Responsibilities:Operate yard trucks to move trailers within the yard and plant areasPlace units in correct locations, including crowded areas and active work zonesManeuver trailers in tight spaces, frequently operating in reverseMove units in and out of plant buildings as directedAssist security in locating released units and staging them appropriatelySafety, Inspection & Compliance:Perform daily equipment inspections, including fluid checks, and complete required checklistsEnsure the safety of employees, contractors, and others working in the vicinity of moving vehiclesSafely secure freight moving to and from plants using strapping, chaining, tarping, or other methods as requiredCommunicate equipment issues, safety concerns, or operational problems to management, production, or securityDocumentation & Communication:Accurately document all unit movements and submit paperwork in a timely mannerMaintain clear communication with team members and supervisors to support yard coordinationOperational Expectations:Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, and accurate manner in accordance with company policyContribute positively to a team-focused environment that supports quality productionMaintain reliable attendance and work scheduled hoursSupport mandatory overtime as requiredComply with all company policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned to support operational needsWhat You Bring:1–3 months of related experience and/or training preferredAbility to meet productivity and quality expectationsLicenses & Certifications:Valid driver's license requiredWisconsin CDL may be required if: Operating vehicles over 26,000 lbs (GVW), or Transporting vehicles on public roads or highwaysForklift certification required or ability to obtainKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to safely and efficiently back trailers into tight spacesWorking knowledge of CDL requirements and classifications (including Hazardous Materials training if applicable)Strong attention to safety and spatial awarenessAbility to follow instructions and communicate effectively in a team environmentWork Environment & Physical Expectations:This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
