As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Operations in Middle Village, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Officer supporting a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Monitor access points; verify identification, credentials, and authorization; maintain visitor logs; and direct authorized individuals to appropriate areas in accordance with established procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting activities as required.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, report suspicious or unauthorized access attempts, and help to deter unauthorized entry through professional presence and adherence to post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entrances, lobbies, perimeter areas, and access points, as applicable to the location and post assignment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
